Shrimp Tacos with Kohlrabi Slaw

Chipotle Mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon chipotle
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lime, zest and juice


  • 1 Mann’s Kohlrabi
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • ½ bunch cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek
  • 4 green onions
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

The Method

For the Chipotle Mayonnaise

Combine all ingredients. Set aside.

For the Tacos

Peel Kohlrabi and julienne slice on a Japanese mandolin. Toss with sambal, cilantro, lime, green onion, and oil.

Heat the tortillas on a burner, solid top or gill.

Sauté the shrimp with oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Place shrimp in taco and add chipotle mayo.

Top with generous amount of Kohlrabi slaw.

Recipe makes 8 tacos.
